5 of the Best FPS Games of All Time 2022

5 of the Best FPS Games

If you’re an FPS player, it’s always hard to round out the best FPS games.

The first-person shooter variant is one of the most powerful in the sport. These games have defined generations from milestones like Quake and DOOM to modern-day Halo and Behemoth’s Call of Duty.

Of course, we like a challenge. Upon entering the battlefield, we re-report with a list of the best FPS games that we believe everyone should play at least once. As a bonus, we include some of the best free FPS games; Because it does not matter that some of these topics are free to play. They are sometimes even better than the other games on this list!

We are pretty sure we missed some of your favorites, so be sure to voice up in the comment section; Mygamesreview.com has a policy of adding new games to our published list if enough people are angry with us.

1. QUAKE 3 ARENA: A CLASSIC FPS GAME MADE EVEN BETTER!

The Quake franchise, like DOOM, had a massive impact on the FPS genre. While some could claim that Quake or Quake II is the series’ pinnacles, Quake 3 Arena is the definitive arena-based competitive shooter.

Quake 3 Arena is the inspiration for all other multiplayer FPS games. It’s a pure deathmatch experience with no gimmicks or gameplay hooks, making it one of the best FPS games.

Others on this list have grown to include systems and mechanisms as time has passed. At their heart, they give pleasant gameplay by following the principles established down in Quake 3 Arena.

2. HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED

Halo wasn’t only a game that started a series. It was the first time the Xbox brand was introduced.

It burst through the door and never looked back when it got on the scene. Bungie and Microsoft collaborated to create one of the best games ever made. Halo is a genre-defining game that delivers on every level. With its suitable option, the campaign promises memorable action and endless replayability.

Master Chief is one of those characters worth remembering. Halo: Combat Evolved is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Last but not least, competitive multiplayer is helping to determine the future of multiplayer gaming. Halo gives the pinnacle FPS multiplayer experience without the benefit of internet gaming. While playing games online is easier than ever, nothing compares to Halo LAN gatherings.

3. CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2

It’s hard to think that there was a time when Call of Duty was always outdoing itself. But believe me when I say that it was the mid-to-late 2000s.

Modern Warfare 2 was a follow-up to 2007’s critically praised Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and it improved on what was already one of the best first-person shooter games of all time. The campaign is the genuine hero of Modern Warfare 2, although the multiplayer experience was already polished.

The best characters and level design the franchise has ever seen are set in motion by an over-the-top plot. The most incredible thing is that there are no endlessly respawning adversaries or bullets exploding from random buildings.

4. RAINBOW SIX: SIEGE

Rainbow Six: Siege is one of the few games that has lasted this long.

Siege is a tactical first-person shooter released in 2015, seven years after Rainbow Six: Vegas and its sequel, Vegas 2, helped resurrect the franchise. It’s not only a great example of “gaming as a service,” but it’s also one of the best first-person shooters of all time.

After its first release, Ubisoft has continued to support Siege with feature updates and a robust eSports community. They promised to maintain the game fully functional after its launch, and they kept their word. Take a look at the DLC that has been released for the game over the last six years!

5. DOOM: STILL ONE OF THE BEST FPS GAMES

The grandfather of them is also one of the best first-person shooter games ever made. DOOM, which was first launched in 1993, served to alter the first-person shooter genre and the whole gaming industry.

Bethesda did well with the franchise in 2016’s DOOM and its sequel, DOOM Eternal. Even 30 years later, DOOM can compete with those games, as good as they are.

A memorable experience is delivered with a fantastic soundtrack, outstanding level design, and fast-paced action. I THOUGHT IT WAS FANTASTIC when I first played DOOM in the late 1990s. When I play it now, it’s still fantastic. DOOM is worth your time in 2022, whether you’re playing on my computer, Switch, Game Boy, Peloton, or nearly any other device.
